I love to cook. I was a latch key kid who grew up cooking. At first I was cooking out of necessity and from there it grew into a passion. I was so into experimenting in the kitchen, I’d pour through magazines cutting out new recipes to try, and then I would put them into my very own scrapbook style cookbook. My mom’s style of cooking was a huge influence on me. She never used recipes and is phenomenal at just putting the right flavors together. She is also from India, so I developed a taste for exotic foods early on. In fact many of the Indian recipes found here on my website are my mom’s recipes that I grew up with.
As a model in my teens and twenties, I used my job as a culinary adventure having the opportunity to experience vegetarian foods from around the world.
As a mom, eating at home was more convenient and affordable. So cooking meals that were both quick and healthy took precedence. When my children started going to school, I attended Le Cordon Bleu to follow my dreams of being a chef. Now I am thrilled to be able to combine my chef skills with my mommy skills in the kitchen!
Cooking is fun, and if it’s not, you aren’t doing it right!

This quiche is not too eggy and full of flavor. Add a salad with a tangy vinaigrette and you have a great meal.
